Resilience to Reduce Burnout in Healthcare Providers

Managing Burnout in Health Coaching addresses the increasingly common topic of burnout among healing professions. In this course, you will learn the components of burnout and the many factors that may put you at risk. This course is designed to provide practical skills and strategies that can be implemented immediately in order to reduce symptoms of burnout and allow coaches to provide the highest quality care to those that they serve.

Upon completion of this course:
  1. Coaches will define burnout and relay the three major components
  2. Coaches will describe the impact of burnout on the nervous system and brain structure
  3. Coaches will demonstrate three strategies for reducing burnout symptoms
  4. Coaches will evaluate how to implement strategies into their current workday

This course is available as a CEU offering for National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC) for 1 CEU. This CE credit is provided by The Center Within which has been approved by the NBHWC, PAC for the continuing education and training of National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC). CEP Number 100085.

Other holistic professionals will be provided a certificate of completion and encouraged to submit to their governing organizations.

Kristen Bingaman, PT, RYT, NBC-HWC has worked in healthcare for over fifteen years as a Physical Therapist in a wide variety of clinical settings. Having suffered from burnout a number of times over the course of her own career, Kristen was inspired to expand her knowledge and definition of well being. She trained in STOTT Pilates, pursued her yoga teacher certification and dove headfirst into practices of positive psychology, mindfulness, meditation, and the connection between chronic stress and its impact on the body. As a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Kristen focuses on provider well being, sharing her holistic approach to fostering resilience through a series of workplace wellness breaks and her blog, The Resilient Rehab Mama.

Michele Rae became an NBC-HWC (National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach) in September 2017 and is an NBHWC (National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching) approved CE (Continuing Education) provider. She is also a registered pharmacist, spiritual director and has an MA in Human Development.
