Group coaching is a vital tool for coaches because it is the wave of the future. National movement toward group coaching and group visits has been a trend the past few years, and the interest is growing.
Group coaching allows us to reach more people for three reasons:
- It offers reduced participation costs
- It creates an instant community of support around a common experience
- It decreases the time investment on the part of the coach. Translating coaching skills to hold space for multiple people while navigating the many moving parts that need to be tended to in a group requires skill and practice. This series will prepare you to design, market, and deliver your group coaching offering.
Objectives:
- Describe and demonstrate key components of group coaching.
- Practice skills and techniques that coaches need to develop to successfully design, market, and deliver group coaching.
- Evaluate research and best practice regarding group coaching.
- Identify basic and advanced facilitation techniques that support the delivery of group coaching.
- Identify opportunities to apply this work in the field.

She is also a registered pharmacist, spiritual director and has an MA in Human Development. She is the founder of The Center Within, LLC, author of Living From the Center Within: Co-Creating Who You Are Becoming.
Michele is graduate faculty at the University of MN in the MA Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching Program, in the College of Pharmacy and The Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
In her private practice, she provides holistic coaching designed to accelerate and support personal, professional and organizational transformation. She delights as clients and students step more fully into their power and release what no longer serves while creating a life they love personally and professionally. Michele also offers in person and on-line training and workshops for Health and Wellness and Executive Coaches, Holistic Practitioners and Leaders. Theresa Nutt is the Co-Director of the Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching Program at the University of Minnesota’s Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing. She is also founder of Your Deeper Calling Coaching and Consulting. She became an NBC-HWC (National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach) in July 2018. She partners with Michele Rae at The Center Within to provide Continuing Education programming for NBHWC. She serves on the Group Competency Taskforce at NBHWC and the ICF Minnesota Board.
Theresa is also a registered nurse, life and style coach, and has an MA in Human Development. She is the author of Your Precious Gem Lifestyle Journal and 30 Days to Reignite Your Inner Creative Genius. She is also a consultant with MHealth Fairview where she has helped design a mental health model with wellness at the center.
In her private practice, she provides transformational coaching to women who are ready to align with their soul’s purpose. She is passionate about helping people identify and align with their deeper calling while creating well-being in all areas of their life. She works with clients virtually.
